  • That trip to Brisbane

You know I had a blast when I keep thinking of the most awesome steak I've ever had. It was almost tears-inducing. And you know its fabulous when I come back to SG insisting only on soup so I can burn off the crazy amount of food we were chuffing down our tummy. When all the money's burnt on the most yummylicious meals every single day! On top of skydiving, car rental and that pair of jeans.

Let's start with Brisbane where I spent the best 6 days of my life this year.

I say, we were quite lucky to be alive given that GPS robo lady was giving us shite instructions!
Turn left in 150metres...no right. Turn left. Left. Recalculating. Turn right.
Oh I floored the car for 10 secs otw to Harbour Town when the road was clear.
    NEED.FOR.SPEED.

    Pre-jump. Surprisingly, I wasn't nervous or panicky @ all.

Something happened after that. It's a secret I might tell next time.

Dinner @ Sono along Brett's Wharf where we saw the most amazing lightnings aross the city skyline.
It was my reward for being lil' A's human mule.

Lil A said to walk along the river. It was a long walk! Fair enough. We had to burn off the calories.

Pride of Queensland. The brewery was 5mins from my old house @ Toowong.

Filling up with lotsa pork before hitting the casino.
Well... let's just say the homecoming to Treasury wasn't that sweet.

The Brissy sunshine was like vit D to my soul. Everything I'd lost faith in, came pouring back. It was the warmth of the air, the sunlight radiating from sky, the coolness of the night and the comforting happiness from just spending precious time wif a dear kiddo I dun see enough of.

    Sydney coming next up!

  • you know I'm early when I have time to blog @ the aiport.

    1. I don't fancy morning flights
    2. My cabbie got me to the airport in 12 mins flat! So I told him to keep the change.
    3. I did everything I needed to do/buy @ the airport like a clockwork.

And now... I shall stroll to my departure gate. Pftt.

  • Crucify My Love

It's Friday night and I'm home packing instead of being out. Not that I'm resenting it. In fact, I find it mildly comforting. While going through my mp3, I came across a folder I've not touched in eons. And so I decided to play those songs that's not been heard for many years..

Sake and X-Japan playing in the background whilst I attempt to squeeze all the cargo I'm carrying over to Hanoi. I thought it's fitting. It may sound emo, but this song actually brings me back to happier times.

  • Of disorders and red eyes

This morning, the soon-to-be psychologist / sex therapist told me about the speech she was preparing. It was about 'somatoform disorder'. Reading it and analysing it kinda leads to quite a few psychological explanations to my own behavior. Scary...but psychologically it makes a lot of sense. Which leads to hypochondriasis with the accompanying symptom of OCD. One semester of "Psych 101" does give me a tad bit of credibility ok?

Then there's "My sister's keeper". The book was draggy. But the movie was amazing. The parts that made me cry/tear/sob, there weren't any conversations. It was the flashbacks, the memories and the thoughts. To the point that F pointed out, "you need tissue." And now my eyes are tired.
